Fantastic Truck

I have owned this truck for 6 years.It is equipped with the Z-66 package.Never had any problems with it .Not great gas mileage ,but what do you expect from a vehicle that weighs what this truck weighs.Most comfortable vehicle that Ive ever had.And that includes a Cadillac once.I also own a Ford . Not even close to this vehicle.Go buy you one and then compare it to other trucks you have owned.This vehicle is in a class of its own.Its the Cadillac of all the big trucks on the market today. - 5.0

2004 avalanche best vehicle I ever owned by far, would recommend to anyone. PRO'S: exellent in all driving conditions I live in upstate NY and rarley put it in 4 wheel drive I dont think the gas milage is too bad does better than my trailblazer tons of room and abalility to convert the rear into p/u is exellent the truck is gorgeous to look at especially with the body armour panels low maintnance CONS: 2 other people I know have avalanches one with an 03 identical to mine and the other an 02 we all have the same problems 1) the window motors are very slow and have a tendency to break 2) the rear tailgate lock fails 3) the instrument cluster goes bad and needs to be replaced ( chevy has riembursed for 04 models and up so exept for those minor cons overall everyone i know who owns one raves about thier truck and believes its the best they ever owned
